Cohen Milstein’s Consumer Protection Practice Group seeks an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of litigation experience to work in our Washington, D.C. or New York office with the expectation of regular travel to Washington D.C. A federal judicial clerkship is preferred. The Consumer Protection Practice Group works to protect consumers from deceptive business practices and defective products. Cohen Milstein has been successful in class actions at recovering monetary compensation for consumers who were deceived by consumer service providers such as banks, insurance companies, credit card companies and phone companies.

Applicants must be able to take a substantial role in researching and writing complaints and briefs, able to conduct discovery, and supervise others in litigation-related tasks, among other responsibilities. A strong academic background with excellent writing skills and analytic ability is required, as is the ability to manage and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Candidates must be an active member of the state bar where the employment is based. If not a member of
the bar, candidates need to be eligible and willing to apply for membership within 90 days of employment at the firm.

The expected annual salary range (excluding bonus) for this position is between $150,000 and $171,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors.
