PRBA President 1981 – 1983
On January 16th, 2009, we gathered at the New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA) to celebrate the life of Justice Charles J. Tejada who left this world much too young at only 64 years old. He loved public service and was a great contributor to the community. He was also the President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association during its 25th Anniversary.
Judge Tejada most recently served as a Judge of the Court of Claims and Acting Supreme Court Justice in New York County since 1990; he was a judge since 1985 when he was appointed to the New York City Civil Court by then, Mayor Edward I. Koch.
