The Puerto Rican Bar Association is pleased to announce the 2017 Puerto Rican Bar Association (PRBA) Scholarship Program for Latino law students. The PRBA, founded in New York in 1957, is one of the oldest Latino bar associations in the United States. Today, the PRBA continues its tradition of breaking down barriers to the legal profession with active members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
For the first time the Puerto Rican Bar Association, through its scholarship fund, will be awarding legacy scholarships in celebration of its 2017 Puerto Rican Bar Association Diamond Jubilee.
Each scholarship recipient will receive Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) yearly until graduation. The scholar will receive Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) per semester. To receive the award, the scholarship recipient must remain in good standing and enrolled full-time at an accredited American Bar Association Law School in New York State.
