{"id":7564,"date":"2025-04-28T18:11:42","date_gmt":"2025-04-28T22:11:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prbany.com\/?post_type=announcement&#038;p=7564"},"modified":"2025-04-28T18:11:44","modified_gmt":"2025-04-28T22:11:44","slug":"press-release-puerto-rican-bar-association-condemns-actions-threatening-judicial-independence","status":"publish","type":"announcement","link":"https:\/\/prbany.com\/es\/announcement\/press-release-puerto-rican-bar-association-condemns-actions-threatening-judicial-independence\/","title":{"rendered":"Comunicado de Prensa: El Colegio de Abogados de Puerto Rico condena las acciones que amenazan la independencia judicial"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/prbany.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/PRBA-Color-Seal-1024x1019.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7395\" style=\"width:183px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>DECLARACI\u00d3N DE LA PRBA PARA SU PUBLICACI\u00d3N<br>28 de abril de 2025<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>El Colegio de Abogados de Puerto Rico condena las acciones que amenazan la independencia judicial<\/strong><br>Nueva York, Nueva York <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La Asociaci\u00f3n de Abogados Puertorrique\u00f1os de Nueva York (\"PRBA\") - la asociaci\u00f3n de abogados latinos m\u00e1s antigua de la naci\u00f3n, establecida en 1957 - expresa su profunda preocupaci\u00f3n por el creciente patr\u00f3n de intimidaci\u00f3n dirigido a los miembros del poder judicial, incluyendo las preocupantes acciones de aplicaci\u00f3n de las autoridades federales de inmigraci\u00f3n que representan una amenaza directa a la independencia judicial y el equilibrio constitucional de poderes.<br>En los \u00faltimos meses se han confirmado incidentes en los que se ha atacado y amenazado personalmente a jueces por cumplir con sus obligaciones constitucionales. Han salido a la luz informes cre\u00edbles sobre campa\u00f1as de doxxing, amenazas a las familias de los jueces y peticiones p\u00fablicas de represalias tras decisiones leg\u00edtimas, acciones que ponen en peligro no solo a jueces individuales, sino tambi\u00e9n la integridad del propio sistema judicial.<br>A\u00fan m\u00e1s inquietante es la nueva tendencia a detener p\u00fablicamente a jueces en ejercicio, que ha suscitado un gran debate entre juristas, funcionarios p\u00fablicos y defensores de los derechos civiles. Los cr\u00edticos sostienen que este tipo de detenciones, a veces a la vista de todos, representa una extralimitaci\u00f3n y una t\u00e1ctica intimidatoria que podr\u00eda tener un efecto amedrentador sobre la independencia judicial y erosionar la capacidad de los jueces para tomar decisiones imparciales sin temor a represalias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>En consecuencia, el Colegio de Abogados Puertorrique\u00f1os de Nueva York se solidariza inquebrantablemente con el poder judicial y hace un llamamiento a todos los funcionarios e instituciones p\u00fablicas para que respeten, protejan y reafirmen el papel constitucional vital que desempe\u00f1an los jueces en la salvaguardia de nuestra democracia estadounidense.<\/p>","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-7564","announcement","type-announcement","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
