El Puerto Rican Bar Association, Inc. (PRBA) fue fundado en 1957 por un grupo de abogados puertorriqueños y latinos que empezaron a reunirse socialmente para ofrecerse apoyo personal y profesional en una época en la que era difícil que los abogados de color fueran aceptados como miembros en los colegios de abogados establecidos.
