Committee Interest Form

 We are looking for volunteers to serve on our various committees. Your involvement in one of our committees will not only benefit the organization but also provide you with a rewarding experience.

Please join us via Zoom for a February 2025 information session to discuss opportunities to join the committees listed below — DATE AND TIME TBD.

Membership Committee – Work with our committee on exciting approaches and planning events to increase our membership!

Judiciary Committee – Help address the lack of Latina/o judges in New York by working with committee members to issues reports, statements and findings. The committee also recognizes newly elected, re-elected or appointed judges at an annual awards ceremony.

Historic Preservation Committee – Assist in not only researching, documenting, and recording the history of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, but also honoring our past Presidents at an annual event.

CLE Committee – Coordinates and plans our CLE programs.

Community Affairs – Works with members of the community to address issues of concern.

Womens’ Committee – Plans the Flor de Mago Awards ceremony and develops and implements plans to encourage and facilitate the empowerment of women in the legal profession.

Young Lawyers Committee – Promotes professional development and leadership by reaching out to new lawyers and presenting the tools they need to build successful careers. 

Governance Committee – Evaluate and assist committee members on any revisions to the bylaws.

Social Media Committee – Our newest committee oversees our social media content and website development.
