Dear Members and Friends,
COVID 19 has changed the way we customarily work and interact with our family, friends and colleagues. Our thoughts and prayers go out to anyone whose lives have been negatively affected due to COVID 19. We continue to pray that the curve be flattened expeditiously and permanently.
We have been working to keep you and the legal community up to date with the current changes in the court calendar and new rules when appearing in court. A substantial number of court directives and notices have been disseminated to all PRBA members and are available on our website.
The PRBA is also working with other Latino bar associations in coordinating a fundraiser in the coming months to help the people in Puerto Rico that have been suffering as a result of a series of recent earthquakes in Ponce and other towns.
We look forward to continuing to help, to the best of our ability, everyone in the legal community and the people in Puerto Rico during this unprecedented global pandemic and earthquakes. In addition, although the administration of the PRBA’s goals, policies and programs have been either delayed or postponed due to the pandemic, we are working to continue to promote them in an effective and timely fashion.
Wishing everyone a safe and healthy year, I remain,
Sincerely yours,
Jesús M. Zeno, Esq.
63rd President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association
